Sauf erreur de ma part, on n’a jamais franchement aborde le sujet des homos de Ha Noi, non pas que je sois homophobe, j’ai toujours aimé les animaux (j’ entend déjà les cris de colère), j’en ai même un sous la main, tres bon pote a moi et a Me KCA, mais bizarrement elle ne veut pas le voir a la casa… hmm? hmm?

Bon alors, les tenthouses vietnamiennes, bin contrairement à ce que disent certains guides touristiques, sont loin d’être persécutées. Certaines familles chouchoutent « leur brebis galeuses », les considérants comme une épreuve du ciel, et la patience, et l’endurance cachent au loin une récompense. Rare sont les homos qui se font chasser du domicile familial. De plus cela confortent les mamans qui pourront garder auprès d’elles leur fils-fils…

A noter tout de même que les pds des familles aisées, ou bien placées, ou du showbiz assument +/- leurs homosexualités, contrairement a ceux issues des familles moins fortunées. Mais assumer ne signifient pas le crier sur les toits, les Vietnamiens sont pudiques a la source.

Au fait, grande première, les députés cogitent sur une loi, décret… sur le changement de genre, et c’est loin d’être clair.

II-“I was the victim yesterday of a scam in Hanoi. A guy I met around Hoan Kiem Lake proposed me to go to a new gay bar in Hanoi, called Rio Cafe. When we arrived on Pho Tue Tinh, he told me that the bar had been replaced by a karaoke. So we went together and we were led to a private karaoke room. When I ordered a beer, they brought four beers and two bottles of water… We went through the karaoke session, singing and so on … And when we wanted to leave, the waiter presented me a bill for US$82! Of course, I did not have such money with me.

The waiter became angry and threatening, and I realized he was quite muscular, and I should not try to fight with him. He took all my money: leaving me 20000 VND (US$1.3) for a taxi to go back to my hotel. Then he let me go. And to make me go quicker, a few more muscular and threatening guys appeared as I was going downstairs. My pretend friend ran away and jumped on a motorbike as we reached the street. III-“This letter is to inform you of a scam that nearly cost me my life. I had just gone to the Post Office and decided to walk around Hoan Kiem lake. Within a few minutes I was joined by a young, well-dressed man who told me his name was Sang and that he was a University student who would like to practice his English. Sang asked me if I would like to join him for a coffee and we stopped at a small karaoke bar – Karaoke Viet Hung, 29 Ngo Hang Long. He paid for the taxi and we went inside. There were two men plus a woman who greeted us and were very nice. We were led to a 2nd room with a karaoke machine. Sang said that we would each pay 50,000 Dong (about $3) for 30 minutes and a couple of drinks. Afterwards they showed me a bill of $148 for rental of the karaoke room, drinks, cigarettes and snacks whereupon I told them that was ridiculous and got up to leave.

As I opened the door all three men attacked me, hitting me and Sang grabbed my neck and choked me. In the scuffle the door (part glass) was broken and came off the hinges. The men forced me back into the room throwing me on a sofa, knocking my glasses off and crushing them. They said that we should call the police and I agreed whereupon they handed me a mobile phone and said for me to call (of course I did not know the telephone number)…. [...] Al W., Jan 12, 2002
